Titiek Puspa, Sembuh dari Kanker Setelah Meditasi


"Kanker serviks atau kanker leher rahim sangat ditakuti wanita, karena bisa menyebabkan kematian. Di dunia, ditemukan 493.243 kasus baru kanker serviks setiap tahunnya. Dari jumlah itu, yang meninggal dunia sekitar 273.505, dengan estimasi 80 persen terjadi di negara berkembang."

PADA 2002 lalu, di Indonesia terdapat 15.050 kasus, sekitar 7.566 orang di antaranya meninggal dunia. Tercatat bahwa Indonesia menempati urutan pertama setelah Philipina, Vietnam, Thailand, Myanmar, Kamboja, Malaysia, Singapura, Laos, dan Brunai.

Kanker serviks umumnya (99,7 persen) disebabkan infeksi Human Papiloma Virus (HPV), yang tumbuh dan berkembang secara perlahan. Awalnya, virus HPV masuk ke dalam sel mulut rahim. Kanker ini bisa dicegah dengan cara pemeriksaan papsmear untuk mengetahui secara dini perubahan sel di mulut rahim yang normal ke arah sel-sel pra kanker.

Kanker ini bisa menyerang siapa pun dan usia berapa pun. Seperti yang dialami penyanyi sekaligus komposer legendaris Titiek Puspa. Ditemui pasca menjalani pengobatan intensif di Rumah Sakit Mount Elizabeth Singapura sejak 13 Desember 2009, karena menderita kanker rahim stadium 2, Titiek Puspa tampak ceria, meski dalam keadaan duka. Wanita yang kini berusia 72 tahun itu tanpa beban ketika menceritakan awal mula penyakit tersebut bersarang di tubuhnya.

Penampilannya sedikit berbeda dari biasanya. Tubuhnya lebih subur dibanding sebelum divonis sakit. “Beratnya nambah 11 kilogram. Banyak makan saya di sana,” ungkap Titiek yang kini berbobot 77 kilogram tersebut kepada Indonesia Monitor.

Dia mengaku, awalnya, sakit yang dirasakan di perutnya itu karena menopause. Tapi, semakin lama terasa ada sesuatu yang kurang enak. Ternyata, dari hasil pemeriksaan dokter, Titiek mengidap kanker rahim. Ia pun dihadapkan pada pilihan sulit, yakni operasi dengan risiko kehilangan organ kewanitaannya. “Ambil saja. Buat saya gak apa-apa, gak ada perlunya lagi,” kata pemeran film Minati Gadis Dusun ini.

Selama berada di Singapura, ia mengaku, aktivitasnya hanya dua, yakni bolak-balik ke rumah sakit sejak Senin sampai Jumat, sedangkan Sabtu dan Minggu istirahat. “Teler juga, kecapekan. Gak bisa lagi jalanjalan,” kata Titiek.

Di Singapura, Titiek menjalani empat kali tahap kemoterapi dan 28 kali radiasi beserta proses penunjang lain. Dan, saat menjalani kemotherapi kedua, Titiek hampir putus asa. Karena merasakan sakit luar biasa, sampai menangis dan minta digendong. “Saya kira mau finito (finish, red). Tapi, habis itu, biasa lagi,” ungkapnya.

Perempuan yang lahir di Kalimantan Selatan pada 1 November 1937 tersebut mengaku sempat muncul pikiran akan meninggal. Ia pun mengingat masa-masa lalunya, karena sudah 55 tahun ia bergelut di dunia musik. “Jadi, mungkin habis sakit, “habis” juga saya. Nggak tahunya, selama sakit itu, malah melahirkan lagu lagi. Itu, yang 60 sekian lagu,” ungkapnya.

Selama berobat, Titiek menciptakan sekitar 60 lagu dalam bentuk notasi. Empat lagu di antaranya sudah dilengkapi syair. “Jadi, saya malah merasa baru dibangunin Tuhan. ’Kamu jangan tidur saja. Ayo, bangun,” papar Titiek.

Membuat 60 lagu dalam waktu sesingkat itu akhirnya menjadi rekor tersendiri bagi Titiek. “Sebelum sakit, sebetulnya mau bikin konser 55 tahun di atas panggung. Tapi, kena (kanker) itu, terus diundur. Disuruh sakit dulu. Mungkin jadi 56 tahun saja deh atau 57 tahun di atas panggung,” ucapnya.

Meski terpikir risiko paling parah, Titiek tidak pernah putus asa. Dia terus berjuang untuk sembuh. Ternyata, Titiek memang sanggup melewati pengobatan itu dan masih diberi usia panjang. Putri pasangan Tugeno Puspowidjojo dan Siti Mariam tersebut kemudian berpikir, apakah dirinya masih dibutuhkan banyak orang di dunia.

Bahkan, ketika divonis mengidap kanker, dia pun tidak kaget. Sebab, ada riwayat keturunan dari ayahnya dan kakak kandungnya yang juga mengidap kanker. Bagi Titiek, hanya perlu berpikir jernih untuk tujuan hidupnya, karena hidup bukan untuk mengeluh. “Kerjakan apa yang bisa dikerjakan dengan sepenuh tenaga, pikiran, moral, dan material. Kalau kita pakai semua itu, alam akan mendukung,” ujar Titiek.

Saat ini Titiek justru mendapatkan program penyembuhan tambahan berupa meditasi. “Jadi, anak saya, Petty, punya teman yang bisa sembuh dari lumpuh akibat stroke. Padahal dokter tidak menemukan penyakitnya, sampai dia sempat akan gila. Namun melalui meditasi itu, dia sembuh,” ungkap Titiek.

Sampai saat ini, Titiek sudah menjalani delapan dari 13 kali meditasi yang harus dijalani. Meditasi dilakukan setiap hari dalam dua tahap. Siang dua jam, malam tiga jam. Malam, meditasi setelah pukul enam sore.

Latihannya berupa pernapasan, kemudian lidah ditekuk ke atas. Selanjutnya, memejamkan mata, duduk bersila, serta tidak boleh bergerak maupun bersandar. Latihan pernapasan tersebut tidak bisa dilakukan sembarangan. Misalnya, setelah menarik napas, napas yang dihembuskan tidak boleh sampai terdengar ke telinga.

Ternyata, setelah menjalani meditasi tersebut, Titik mengaku perutnya yang seringkali sakit jika menunduk, kini sudah tidak lagi. Begitu juga apabila ia ingin ke toilet, ia harus minum pencahar. Sekarang tidak perlu lagi, kotorannya keluar dengan sendirinya. “Bahkan, penglihatan saya yang sempat buram, sudah bisa melihat terang,” jelasnya.

Setelah 13 kali meditasi di bawah arahan instruktur, Titiek akan meditasi sendiri sampai sekitar enam bulan, agar kondisinya sempurna. Dia juga membatasi makanan. Salah satunya, tidak mengonsumsi daging merah dan seafood, serta meminum minuman yang bersoda.

SEPULUH KIAT MENGHINDARI KANKER

1. Berhenti Merokok
Merokok penyebab utama kanker paru dan hampir 30 persen kanker lainnya. Merokok saat hamil berbahaya bagi bayi yang dikandung.

2. Hindari Sinar Matahari
Sinar matahari berlebihan menyebabkan kerusakan kulit dan kanker kulit. Lindungi kulit dengan krim tabir surya (sunscreen cream), gunakan baju berlengan panjang dan topi atau payung terutama saat terik matahari.

5. Kurangi Konsumsi Makanan yang Diasap, Dibakar dan Diawetkan dengan Nitrit
Kanker oesofagus dan lambung lebih sering dijumpai di negara yang penduduknya banyak mengonsumsi makanan yang diasap maupun diawetkan dengan nitrit. Dalam makanan yang dibakar juga mengandung zat yang berisiko kanker.

6. Pilih Makanan yang Banyak Mengandung Vitamin A dan C
